In my studio, a mini canvas and Frida Kahlo my version comes to life.

I had a tiny blank space on the wall 4 x 4 so a little face was just the answer.

I step through faces and while I am no expert they always come to life- online class with Tam.

I travel and throw colour on canvas by what I see or others join me, then come home and paint them.

I have so many coloured canvases. I hang them on the wall until they call me. 

I swoosh some lines of what comes to life in front of me and start to layer.

Block in colours layer by layer. Deepening in whoever wants to be seen.

What started as flowers became my peacock that passed – Mr Peabody.

Lacquer dusted with powdered gold, highlighting the cracks instead of hiding them.

My favourite girl to draw is a character named Jella. She is very sweet and keeps my pencil busy. 

I have what I call an ideas book. In it I daily draw things to try improve my skills. I just draw!

I draw an idea I have and this one is all about her hair. Colour just happens.

I knew her hair was black and when she wanted to be purple I thought why not …

A class I tried online. It was taught by Kara and I love how she turned out.

A background that was created in Nepal. The top image was my first canvas painting.

I paint intuitively and whatever I see, I invite it to come through. This is my first finished canvas.

In the corner I have my silversmith station and Cloisonné pendants are a favourite to create.

I found vintage clogs from Indonesia. Hours of stitching 1mm swarovski crystals to enter a comp.

I left one old to see the transformation. I placed 3rd and the following year I won artist of the year.

The local show is fun and we have heaps of creatives! This is my rock with baby blossom babies.

I got a 2nd to my 1st in mixed media. One was an online class with Olga the other my original idea.

Does anyone else cut pictures out of magazines then draw them in their ideas book?

Vintage fabric – what can I make. Sneakers seemed to be the obvious choice.

I could not get Fetta cheese in Nepal. So I youtubed it and then voila we had fetta.

Does anyone else have heaps of wool scraps hanging about the studio.

I embroidered flowers to create this cute needle holder.

I wake at 4am and with Bobdog we paint rocks waiting for sunrise. 

I tried some silk painting in the microwave, the family are glad I used the studio one.

For a while I studied mandala art with a friend of mine called Tendar, a tibetan monk.

There was a lot of work in measuring and he taught us on paper even though he did sand mandalas.

Using a ruler, compass, pencil and eraser my studio was filled with his jolly laughs and I measured.

My office corner filled with supplies and ideas. I am ready to create anytime!

Can one have too many colour pencils? I bought a box of 300 only after did I realise how many 300 was.

Another background another face coming through, I wonder who she shall be?

I see colour everywhere, come to my studio and create with me! Who knows what we shall explore!
